The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the confidentiality of student educational records. It states that the institution will not disclose any personally identifiable information from those records without the written consent of the student. In order to release information to a parent or third-party, the student will need to complete the FERPA Release Form.

The online FERPA Release Form can be found by visiting this page

This authorization will remain in effect for the duration of your time at Morgan State University unless you submit a written request to revoke this consent to the Office of the Registrar.

The FERPA release form will not be accepted from a party other than the student.

Processing time frame: 1 business day

To remove an authorized user, you should submit a written request to the Office of the Registrar (records@morgan.edu).
